We didn’t start LAVE Wash because laundry was easy.
We started it because care was hard to come by.
Our daughter’s severe respiratory issues sent us down a path most families never expect: questioning the air we breathe, the products we use, and the overlooked toxins hiding in everyday routines. It wasn’t a doctor who brought relief, it was fresh air, clean surroundings, and a long visit with family in the quiet countryside. That trip changed everything.
From that moment forward, we became students of clean living. We swapped out harsh products, chose simplicity, and looked at every habit — including laundry — with new eyes.
And what we learned?
Clean clothes aren’t always clean.
Especially not when washed with overpowering detergents or filled with invisible chemicals that cling to fabric, night after night.
